Worried about voter engagement?
Dear Friends,
As this critical election year unfurls, our grantee partner, Black Voters Matter, shares this message about the importance of Black voter engagement:
“From the vibrant communities of Louisiana to the heart of Georgia, and everywhere in between, we’re spreading awareness and encouraging participation through a variety of initiatives and collaborations with local partners. Together, we’re not just making a difference during election seasons; we’re laying the foundation for lasting change and representation. Your support is vital as we work towards a future where every Black voice is not only heard but actively represented.”
Get involved! Here are 3 ways to support Black Voters Matter right now:
- Sponsor our Spring Benefit Concert for Black Voters Matter
- Buy a ticket for yourself and friends for “The Soul of Justice” on Tuesday, May 21st in New York City ($300 per ticket includes drinks + dinner)
- Join Black Voters Matter for “Texting Tuesdays” at 6 pm EST and help drive voter turnout!
100% of sponsorship and ticket sales for “The Soul of Justice” will go to Black Voters Matter. If you can’t join us at the concert, please consider a gift to JusticeAid at any level. Donations of $500+ will be listed in the program for the concert. Help us meet our goal of raising $600,000 for BVM by June!
Now you can listen to last week’s free public forum: To the Ballot Box: Our Vote, Our Voice, featuring MSNBC’s Joy Reid in conversation with Black Voters Matter co-founders, LaTosha Brown and Cliff Albright. The forum was produced in partnership with ClassACT HR’73.
