“I’m so thrilled to be returning as musical director for JusticeAid’s benefit concert and to be working again with this incredible bunch of artists from our NYC scene. We will be exploring the rich and legendary musical tapestry of 60s/70s American soul music and specifically the catalog that highlights themes of social justice in song.”
Grammy-nominated artist, Scott Sharrard, is a guitarist, singer, songwriter, producer and arranger, and member of the legendary Rock and Roll band, Little Feat (guitar and lead vocals). He also spent nearly a decade as lead guitarist and band leader to the late Gregg Allman. In addition to his work with Little Feat and as a solo artist, Scott is a passionate educator of all styles of American Roots music and has released several soul-influenced albums of his own with his first band, The Chesterfields, reaching the Top Ten Billboard blues with his 2018 solo release of “Saving Grace.” His sixth and most recent solo album is “Rustbelt” (2021).

Successful voter engagement requires meeting people where they are and listening to issues that are most important to them. Our grantee partner, Black Voters Matter (BVM), understands this better than anyone. When you join us at our Spring benefit concert you’ll be supporting the fight against voter suppression, while enjoying music from an all-star band and Grammy-nominated vocalists evoking the Soul of Justice.
