H ere at JusticeAid we’ve been doing what you’ve been doing: working to ensure that the right to vote is protected, extended, and not suppressed. Thanks to your support, we’ve raised money for our 2020 grantee partner, Election Protection/866-OUR-VOTE, and worked with organizations helping to get out the vote.
All this activity has pulled us away from our Songs of Protest blog, and so this month we present a streamlined edition: Music to Vote By, with less talk and more music! You’ll find songs by the famous greats and others by lesser knowns. Expect a mix of empowerment, protest, inspiration, and great energy to lift you up while you go about the business of your own political engagement.
Think of it as a soundtrack to the election.
And if you find yourself tapping your toe while you vote, singing while you vote, or even dancing while you vote—well, there’s nothing’s wrong with that.
So, keep playing to the whistle, keep running through the tape, and don’t stop until it’s over. And when the dust settles from the election, we’ll see you on the other side.
Best wishes from all of us at JusticeAid
