This year, to combat the ever-insidious ways that voter suppression is denying justice to marginalized and predominantly Black communities, JusticeAid is partnering with Black Voters Matter (BVM). Our goal is to raise half-a-million dollars to fuel BVM’s mission of expanding access to voting rights that are the foundation of all civil rights.

Even though this year is not a national election year, voters all across the country are electing mayors, school boards, and local officials who will define their community’s access to justice. BVM works locally, alongside grass-roots partners in 28 states, to raise awareness about why every vote matters.

In 2023 BVM’s “We Won’t Black Down” bus tour will be traveling to communities that may not get a lot of attention, but are battlegrounds for access to the polls now, and in future elections.

This video recaps the successful BVM bus tour last year. Look for updates from JusticeAid on the 2023 “We Won’t Black Down” bus tour – coming to a town near you!

Contributions to JusticeAid this year will fuel the work of Black Voters Matter to advance
a broader vision that voting rights expands the path to all human rights.
