Every year JusticeAid leverages art and music to strengthen communities and transform awareness into action in the fight against injustice.
This year, in partnership with Black Voters Matter (BVM), JusticeAid is fighting back against historic and new forces that are purposely preventing marginalized communities from voting.
Voter engagement doesn’t happen only in election season. It needs to happen 365 days a year. BVM is on the ground every day, especially in rural areas that are often overlooked, raising awareness about why voting matters.
- Right now BVM is fighting to expand Medicaid in rural Black Communities – because access to healthcare is critical for all.
- Right now BVM is helping voters in Ware County, Georgia fight the removal of all 3 Black members of the Board of Elections – because local boards of elections are responsible for ensuring a fair election process for all.
- And right now BVM is fighting plans to create “Cop City” in Atlanta – because voters should have a voice when cities prioritize paramilitary training for police over protecting 100 acres of forestland.

JusticeAid Board of Directors
JusticeAid leverages the community-building power of art and music to transform awareness into action in the fight against injustice. Each year we identify and raise funds for justice causes by hosting music, arts, and educational events. Since 2013 JusticeAid has granted more than $2 million dollars to nonprofits working to ensure access to justice for the disenfranchised and marginalized. Our grantee partners are fighting racist voter suppression and racist policing, working to end mass incarceration and inhumane immigration practices, ensuring access to legal services, and addressing the criminalization and hatred of others.
