NEW ORLEANS BOTANICAL GARDEN AT CITY PARK, NEW ORLEANS

The Youth Empowerment Project (YEP) is New Orleans’ most comprehensive and established agency working with at-risk, court-involved and out-of-school youth. The new connections they see for YEP participants are powerful and fundamentally life-changing. And while the work is incredibly difficult, YEP staff, supporters, and participants remain optimistic, driven, and empowered.

To stir up support and awareness for the Youth Employment Project, JusticeAid hosted Jazz Fest favorite Theresa Andersson and NOLA locals Flow Tribe on Wednesday, April 30th, 2014, at the New Orleans Botanical Garden at City Park. YEP received 100 percent of ticket sales.

“Your generous support has helped sustain our eight after-school and summer camp programs serving 1,000 at-risk New Orleans youth.”
Melissa Sawyer Executive Director, Youth Empowerment Project
