2024 Spring Concert Summary
May 21, 2024
“Honored to share the stage with you all in the name of music and social justice. Too much fun, too little time together, and a lot of wonderful giggles.”
—Martha Redbone
A WARM WELCOME
From the welcoming to the finale, Black Voters Matter and its co-founders, LaTosha Brown and Cliff Albright, were celebrated.
As trumpeter Reggie Pittman expressed best: “Justice Aid and Black Voters Matter deserve all the best we all could offer!”
WE’LL TAKE YOU THERE
The concert was a soulful collaboration of powerful artists playing and singing songs from Stevie Wonder, Isley Brothers, Staple Singers, and many more. With everyone back on stage for the finale the audience leapt to their feet and everyone sang “I’ll Take You There!”
THE JUSTICEAID FAMILY!
Thanks to our sponsors, ticket buyers, table hosts, host committee, and so many donors whose contributions are fueling the fight against racist voter suppression.
“Such a joy and a treasure to work with you all on this incredible concert!” —Chrissi Polland
Black Voters Matter works with grassroots organizations, specifically in key states in the South, to increase voter registration and turnout, advocate for policies to expand voting rights/access, and support a power-building movement that keeps Black voters and their issues at the forefront of our election process. If you have not already contributed, please give generously. Many thanks.
