JusticeAid Celebrates Nina Simone
MONDAY, MAY 22 AT CITY WINERY, NEW YORK CITY
Join us for drinks, dinner, and a unique live concert with contemporary artists performing a tribute to civil rights icon and High Priestess of Soul, Nina Simone. The line-up of artists and musicians is brimming with talent, including Grammy Award winner Lisa Fischer (backup vocalist for the Rolling Stones and featured in the movie “20 Feet From Stardom”), Grammy nominee Scott Sharrard (frontman for Gregg Allman, and lead guitarist/singer for Little Feat), emerging jazz vocalist Brianna Thomas, and others—read about them on our event page.
This year we are celebrating JusticeAid’s 10th year and blowing our trumpet for the most fundamental of all civil rights: the right to vote. 100% of ticket revenue and sponsorships will provide unrestricted funds for JusticeAid’s 2022 grantee partner, Black Voters Matter.
Whether you can join us at the concert or not, you can participate in our efforts to preserve and protect the precious right to vote with a contribution to JusticeAid this Spring.
JusticeAid is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt public charity. Our mission is to leverage the community-building power of art and music to transform awareness into action in the fight against injustice. Since 2013 JusticeAid has granted over two million dollars to nonprofits that are protecting civil rights for all. Throughout 2023 JusticeAid is raising money for Black Voters Matter (BVM).
