This year more than 34 million Black Americans, including 5.7 million Black Gen Z & Xers, are projected to be eligible to vote—14% of all eligible voters in the US. But will they? And what voter suppression tactics are creating barriers to turn out? What can each of us do?

JusticeAid 2024 grantee partner Black Voters Matter is out there educating and engaging Black voters. Join us on Saturday, March 16th, at To The Ballot Box! Our Vote, Our Voice, for a unique and intimate conversation hosted by MSNBC’s Joy Reid with BVM co-founders LaTosha Brown and Cliff Albright. A Q&A will follow. JusticeAid’s Artist in Residence, Paine the Poet, will be giving a special spoken word presentation at the Forum. Paine is an artist, activist, educator, and public speaker from Columbus, Ohio. He uses his gift of poetry and lyricism to bridge the gap between the “disenfranchised” and the society from which they have been detached.
