Consistent with our goal to promote justice through the arts, and our focus in 2022 on LGBTQ Rights, we present Queer Art + Artists, a monthly webpage with suggestions for films that illuminate the LGBTQ experience. Our February film selection is this year’s three-time Oscar-nominated Flee, paired with banner art by Hernan Bas. Our pick for Music that Matters is “Chanel” by Frank Ocean. You can find links to view the film and listen to the music on our new webpage along with background on the film and the artwork, plus recommendations for books and more.
We welcome your reactions and suggestions and hope that this art offers inspiration, deepens our collective understanding of queerness, and prompts candid conversations with family and friends.
JusticeAid believes in the power of art and music to transform awareness into action in the fight against injustice. All donations this year until the end of October will support SMYAL’s programs for LGBTQ youth.

GOOD TO KNOW!
We’re learning about Aromantic Spectrum Awareness Week, a national observance that calls attention to aromanticism, a romantic orientation that describes people who experience little to no romantic attraction. With understanding, we lift up all romantic and sexual orientations in the name of justice for all.
