“A true original; the kind of artist who sets trends, as opposed to following them.”
—Billboard Magazine on Martha Redbone
One of the most vital voices in American Roots music, Redbone is a multi-award-winning musician and charismatic songwriter celebrated for the folk and country sounds of her childhood in the Appalachian Mountains of Kentucky with the eclectic grit of her teenage years in pregentrified Brooklyn. Redbone shares her experiences as a Black and Native American woman and mother in the modern world, using music to explore themes of social justice, cultural connection, and the human spirit.
100% of ticket revenue and sponsorships will provide unrestricted funds for Pregnancy Justice. You can help fight pregnancy criminalization by purchasing tickets or through a generous contribution. Reserve your sponsor table now by contacting Managing Director Natalie Jowett at [email protected]
“We are the underdog, we’re the fighters getting ready for the next round…”
Listen to Redbone perform at a 2020 NPR Tiny Desk Concert. We love the song, “Underdog,” starting at minute 2:30.
