Dear Friends,
The soul of JusticeAid rests upon the powerful relationship between music and justice. Songs move us to action. Nowhere in our history has this been more impactful than during the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960s. In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., we’re proud to launch our monthly “Songs of Protest” blog on MLK Day 2020. This month features 10 Songs of Freedom—music that resonates with the Civil Rights era and the fight for justice.
Each edition will feature an accompanying playlist—with additional songs on Spotify and YouTube. (See January song list).
We hope you can listen, share with friends, reflect, and enjoy.
Our work this election year centers around Voter Suppression & Voter Engagement. Your contribution goes in support of this vital effort.
Please spread the word to sign up for JusticeAid email to receive the “Songs of Protest” blog and information on our concerts and initiatives. More to come from JusticeAid and our 2020 beneficiary Election Protection 866-OUR-VOTE soon!
