An Evening with Kandace Springs
  • JusticeAid invites you to enjoy an intimate evening with Nashville-based pianist and vocalist, Kandace Springs. Known for her lithe and smoky voice and an intensely expressive mastery over the piano, Springs melds soul, jazz, and pop from years of musical traditions, and yet somehow her sound is still revolutionary.
  • 100% of ticket sales and sponsorships will provide unrestricted funds to support JusticeAid’s 2022 grantee partner, SMYAL (Supporting Mentoring Youth Advocates and Leaders), for programs that lift up and empower LGBTQ youth.
  • Tickets on sale soon. To reserve a table as a sponsor, contact jchandler@justiceaid.org

Erasure: The Otherization of Queerness

TransLash Media creator and award-winning journalist, Imara Jones, will set the stage for a discussion, “Freedom to Be Queer: Overcoming Marginalization, Criminalization, and Erasure” with panelist Charles King, CEO, Housing Works, and others to be announced. The uplifting music of the Resistance Revival Chorus will help us celebrate all the colors of the rainbow.

Follow JusticeAid’s social media for updates on events and posts that illuminate social justice issues, including LGBTQ rights.

JusticeAid leverages the community-building power of art and music to transform awareness into action in the fight against injustice. Each year we identify and raise funds for justice causes by hosting music, arts, and educational events. Since 2013 JusticeAid has granted more than 1.7 million dollars to nonprofits working to ensure access to justice for the disenfranchised and marginalized. Our grantee partners are fighting racist voter suppression and racist policing, working to end mass incarceration and inhumane immigration practices, ensuring access to legal services, and addressing the criminalization and hatred of others.
